Blomst is my dream come true.

I’m Laura: golf wife, boy mom, dog lover, musician. And passionate about flowers and the joy and beauty they bring to the world. Blomst means “flower” in Norwegian, a nod to my heritage and a love of nature.

I fell in love with flowers when I first lived in a big city and found they were available on the street, every day! Made my room brighter and my mood better. As a publicist, I managed client events around the country but was always inspired by the floral work. I started evening classes at the New York Botanical Garden and interned on weekends. But I dove headfirst into my mom chapter (aka my best chapter) in which I spent the past twenty years. Eventually, with wonderful encouragement (thank you family and Charlotte small business friends xo), I took the leap in 2023 to pursue my business dream.

Beautiful floral design is like music to me. I see movement and themes among the flowers; I see diverse elements working together for a cohesive whole that sings when it’s right. Colors, textures, and seasons play a role in the final outcome. Every choice I make in material and placement is intentional. When I’m not on a field cheering on my boys, I look forward to bringing beautiful floral design into your world to bring sophistication and an elevated ambiance to your special events and occasions.
