Blomst is a dream come true.

I’m Laura: golf wife, boy mom, dog lover, musician. And passionate about flowers and the joy and beauty they bring to the world. Blomst means “flower” in Norwegian, a nod to my heritage and a love of nature that the Scandinavian culture embrace.

I fell in love with flowers when I lived in London during college and found they were available on the street, every day! Made my room brighter and my mood better. While working as a publicist, I found I was captivated by the floral work at our events, so I started evening classes at the New York Botanical Garden and interning on weekends. Career plans took a detour for my mom chapter (aka my best chapter) in which I spent twenty years. Eventually, with wonderful encouragement (thank you family and Charlotte small business friends xo), I took the leap in 2023 to pursue my business dream.

Beautiful floral design is like music to me. I see movement and themes among the flowers; I see diverse elements working together for a cohesive whole that sings when it’s right. Colors, textures, and seasons all play a role in the final outcome. Every choice I make in material and placement is intentional. When I’m not on a field cheering on my boys, I look forward to bringing beautiful floral design into your world adding sophistication and an elevated ambiance to your special events and occasions.
